The village of Marsens lies on the road from Fribourg to Bulle, 4 km before Bulle. La Buchille's situation, 1,5 km above the village and at an altitude of 880 m, is quiet and sunny with a beautiful view on the Gruyère alps.  It is an excellent departure point for many excursions in the "Pays de la Gruyère"!

 

Just behind La Buchille begins a vast plain with forests, meadows and the protected upland moor "Le Bugnon". The lake of Gruyère with a nice beach is 6 km near. A paradise for hikers and cyclists. Our guests may use three good bikes for free.
